I don’t know about all of you, but our family could have filled out a punch card of all the illnesses we’ve had this winter: Covid, laryngitis, norovirus, and finally … the flu! I was devastated to have to cancel my March 9 crowdfunding kickoff, but as I lay in bed with a 48-hour fever, all I could do was will that fever that sweep all the germs and mucus and crud out of my body once and for all. No more sick! One can hope, at least …
Crowdfunding off to a great start!
I am *incredibly* grateful for the over $1000 (!!!) of pre-orders and donations that have already come in with the first wave of my crowdfunding efforts. I haven’t even really had a chance to get the word out, but my students, colleagues and fans have been right there from the start. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
Fundraising Show Rescheduled for April 7
My original hosts were not available any time in April, so I am particularly grateful to Artichoke Music for hosting the rescheduled Album Fundraiser Show on Sunday, April 7, 5:00pm. As with the originally scheduled show, those in the Portland region are encouraged to attend in person – reserve your sliding scale tickets here – and those farther afield should plan to tune into the livestream on Artichoke’s YouTube Channel here.
In person tickets are $25-50 and guarantee you a pre-order of the new album in the format of your choice – digital download, physical CD or vinyl ($35 and over only). If you’re tuning into the livestream, you will see a QR code / link to donate on the screen, but you can pre-order and/or donate any time right here.
Stay in the loop and keep in touch!
I’ll be sharing more about the production of this album, including features on all the different songs, throughout the month of April. Check back to this blog, or follow me on Facebook and/or Instagram, where I’ll let you know a new blog post is up.
I’ll also send updates via my e-newsletter (no more than once a week, I promise!) – if you haven’t already signed up for that, you can join the e-newsletter here.
Can’t donate, but still want to support this project?
Oh friend, I hear you on that one! YES, there are really helpful ways to support this album release without donating any money:
- Follow me on Facebook and/or Instagram, and share my upcoming posts about the album with your community.
- For your IRL community, share or send physical postcards (stamps provided!) – contact me here and I’ll send you some!
- Volunteer at an upcoming album release event, including a Potholder Party, Pre-Order Pickup / Listening Party, and the Album Release Show. More details coming on all of these events, contact me here and I’ll keep you in the loop!
