Workshop: Fingerpicking for ‘Ukulele

$40.00

Fine tune your sense of rhythm and bring some nuance to your ‘ukulele playing with some basic fingerpicking patterns!

Description

Fingerpicking on your ‘ukulele brings lovely nuance to a song, whether throughout or just in certain sections. It’s also a great exercise for your sense of rhythm and finer techniques of playing. Let’s give it a try!

What will I learn?

This workshop will introduce you to some basic patterns in 3- and 4-beat time. We’ll start with a template for each, and then add in some options, depending on what a song might benefit from. By the end, you’ll be ready to dive into your own repertoire of music to apply your new learning to your own practice.

I recommend this workshop for players who are comfortable with:

  • playing 4-chord songs in the keys of C, D, G, and/or A
  • strumming a basic 4-count strum pattern: please watch this video tutorial
  • taking risks to learn new techniques and material
